Areas of
Practice

Appellate:
A large part of our practice is dedicated to appellate
work in state and federal court. Our firm is often
consulted by other law firms at the trial level
of a case to ensure that necessary actions are
taken to preserve all complaints for appeal and
to begin preparing the case in the event of an
appeal. Our attorneys are experienced in handling
the appeal of business cases, family law cases,
oil and gas cases, bankruptcy cases, personal
injury cases and mandamus issues, among others.
Business
Litigation:
Our attorneys are experienced in handling matters
involving the trial of complex business disputes.
We are often consulted to develop a surgical strategy
for the development of a case. Our business litigation
experience encompasses complex contractual disputes,
complex financial instruments and transactions,
issues of professional liability, construction
litigation, real estate litigation, mold and sick
building litigation, insurance and bad-faith litigation,
oil and gas litigation, bankruptcy litigation,
employment litigation and usury litigation. We
represent businesses, large and small, as well
as individuals in this area. Many of our clients
include law firms that face difficult issues in
the trial of their cases and need top-notch analysis
and briefing on specific legal issues.
General
Civil Litigation:
Our attorneys have handled a variety of general
civil litigation cases. We have represented both
plaintiffs and defendants in probate litigation,
family law litigation, bankruptcy litigation,
professional malpractice litigation, insurance/bad-faith
litigation, medical malpractice litigation, employment
litigation and automobile accidents, among others.
Business
Entity Formation:
Our attorneys are experienced in evaluating the
characteristics of a particular business, recommending
formation of the appropriate business entity and
taking steps to form that entity. We also prepare
detailed partnership agreements, limited liability
company agreements and corporate by-laws.
