Practice Concentration & Experience:
Mr. Sacks is Board Certified in the area of Civil Appellate Law,
Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His practice focuses on appellate
cases and complex business litigation. He has argued in front
of many Texas appellate courts, as well as the Supreme Court of
Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has tried many
cases to both juries and the bench. Mr. Sacks has authored many
articles and has served as a lecturer at many continuing legal
education seminars.
Education:
Mr. Sacks attended the University of Texas at Austin where he
received his B.S. in 1982. He received his law degree from South
Texas College of Law (J.D., 1985). While there he was a member
of Phi Delta Phi and Order of the Barristers; as well as Technical
Editor, South Texas Law Review, 1984, and National Champion, Phillip
Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 1984. Mr. Sacks
was Law Clerk to Hon. John R. Brown, U. S. Court of Appeals, Fifth
Circuit, 1984.
